Pronouns, prepositions

Function words such as pronouns and prepositions are not usually accented in English unless there is an intention to make a contrast.

(48) sound_loud_speaker Not that they’ll do me good (Alan Alda; New York, US).

(49) sound_loud_speaker He made the best of his visit, seeming to enjoy the society of Ella’s husband, who also took a great fancy to him (Tadhg Hynes -Dublin, Ireland- reading a story by Thomas Hardy).

(50) sound_loud_speaker Space between words as much as in the words (Colm Toibin; Enniscorthy, Ireland).
